What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Diesel Mechanic position at Stepp's Towing?
Stepp's Towing & Heavy Transport is looking for Fleet Diesel Mechanics (Preventive Maintenance Techs to full-fledged fleet Diesel Mechanics) to add to our team. We are seeking candidates who possess a positive attitude, customer service skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Job Description:
- Perform maintenance, run diagnostics, and repair diesel vehicles.
- Checking malfunctions on engines, transmissions, clutches, suspension, steering, and more.
- Inspect heavy trucks, buses, and other equipment to ensure they can operate safely
- Document issues and the steps taken to correct them.
- In charge of routine maintenance, such as aligning wheels and changing the oil.
- Test drive vehicles to ensure they are running properly.
Qualifications:
- Must have prior Fleet Diesel Mechanical experience.
- Must have a valid drivers' license.
- Must be able to pass a background check /drug test.
- Must have a Clean Driving Record for at least the past 3 years.
- Possess great Customer Service/Communication Skills
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission truck.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday (7am-5 pm)
