What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Teacher position at Stepping Stones Day School?
Duties:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children from 8wks to 12 years.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Teach all basic skills, social emotional, academic, physical and language development.
- Incorporate play-based learning activities into daily routines.
- Foster social-emotional development through positive interactions and guidance.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate classroom activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the classroom.
Requirements:
- Preschool Teacher certification through the state of Colorado documentation presented at time of interview.
- Previous experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote learning through play.
- Patience, creativity, and flexibility to meet the needs of individual children.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Physical fitness to actively participate in physical education activities with children.
Assist the Director and other staff in the daily running of the center.
