What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director position at Stepping Stones Preschools?
Stepping Stones Preschool (Mansfeild) is looking for an Assistant Director/Administrative Assistant for our Early Education Child Care Facility. If you love working with children and enjoy administrative tasks, this may be the perfect position for you!
This person will be a team player. This position will be both in the classroom if needed as well as the front office. The candidate must be kind, patient and loving as you will spend a majority of the day around young children. Being CPR/First Aid certified is a requirement. Experience using Creative Curriculum is a plus!! We implement this curriculum from infancy through Pre-K.
Experience using Procare is a definite plus! This candidate must be highly responsible and reliable. Being able to multitask is a requirement. We are looking for someone that has the ability to be a true leader! There is room for growth within the company.
The Assistant Director reports to the Director:
Some of the Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Being tasked with the responsibility of managing staff, interacting with parents/families, marketing and financial duties.
- Covering in the classroom when needed (early education experience is preferred)
- Follow ALL Stepping Stones Preschool Philosophies, Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain and support quality safety, supervision and program components of Stepping stones Preschool.
- Candidate must be a strong leader that can communicate effectively with teachers and families
- Responsible assisting the day-to-day operations of the center
- Assist with facility tours
- Ensure your training hours, along with the employees are up to date and accounted for
- Monitor facility daily; ensuring that it is a safe and healthy place for children. Ensure all classrooms are neat, clean and clutter free. Comply with all opening and closing procedures
- Assist with center enrollment. Ensure all paperwork is fully complete.
- Parent Inquires/Weekly tour follow ups
- Attends and participates in staff meetings, open houses, special on-site events
- Minimum Education required is an associate degree (Preferably in psychology, Sociology, Early Education or Business Management)
- Utilize Procare efficiently and effectively.
- Fills in for the Director should they be unavailable
- Flexibility with work hours. Candidate must be able to open and/or close the center
- Comply with all state regulations/policies
