About the Role
The Clinical Assistant Director works as an integral part of the Clinical team. The Clinical Assistant Director will perform, but is not limited to, the following duties: assisting the Clinical Director in overseeing day to day operations, to include the managing of compliance along with delivery of comprehensive services to support the program consumers. This position will provide oversight of a structured setting where the consumers are safe and secure in a trauma-free environment.

Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation for site visits conducted by regulatory bodies, including insurance carriers, Department of Public Health and any additional key stakeholders.
- Support the Clinical Director in administering quality assurance processes by conducting internal audits of files and following up with clinicians.
- Assist the Clinical Director in addressing any failed claims and alerting clinicians to address documentation errors.
- Provide assistance with the preparation of agenda items, scheduling of meetings, meeting reminders, attendance of clinicians, along with following up with action items.
- Facilitate MDT meetings in absence of Clinical Director and follow-up with clinicians in completion of MDT documentation.
- Assist with administrative support including consumer mailings, consumer communications, and liaising with key collateral contacts such as local pharmacies, U.S Department of Federal Probation, Department of Children and Families, Department of Public Health and other key stakeholders.
- Conduct confidential, quality assessments that are gender and culturally responsive and trauma informed.
- Develop, implement, and monitor an individualized treatment/service plan with each assigned consumer using collaborative information from all sources to develop short- and long-term goals.
- Possess knowledge of effective treatment practices such as cognitive therapy, motivational interviewing and trauma-informed techniques and Integrated Treatment in individual, group and family sessions.
- Create group curriculum and provide a high level of clinical standards in provision of group services.
- Provide crisis intervention by assessing severity of the episode, de-escalating the consumer, referring to emergency response team as needed, and developing a safety plan to assist in resolving the crisis.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree social work, mental health, counseling or other related field preferred.
- Licensed LMHC/LICSW/LADC I.
- Minimum of three years counseling in the field of drug or alcohol abuse rehabilitation, mental health or other related field.
- Minimum of one-year experience in leadership and management.
Required Skills
- Good working knowledge of computers and electronic health records.
