You must have the following education, skills and experience to be considered:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
- At least five years of experience as a nurse.
- Previous experience in addiction treatment or behavioral health.
- A minimum of one year of management experience directly supervising other staff.
- Great computer skills including solid understanding of how to use an Electronic Medical Record system (EMR), email programs, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to positively interact and develop rapport with patients and their families, professional support staff and other team members.
- Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.
- High energy with engaging personality and strong people skills.
- Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.
- Ability to multi-task and successfully prioritize workload.

- Supervise all nursing staff to ensure that all medical documentation and medical care requirements are met.
- Communicate with multi-disciplinary leaders on a regular basis to report any concerns or problems with patients, employees or facilities.
- Ensure nursing policies and procedures meet the Louisiana Department of Health regulations and The Joint Commission standards.
- Recruit, hire and train nurses.
- Ensure new nurses receive appropriate orientation and ongoing training is in place.
- Ensure that nursing shifts are covered.
- Provide direct patient care when needed.
- Work in conjunction with pharmacist regarding medication oversight and destruction of medication.
- Conduct regular inspection of medical charts, both open and closed, to ensure compliance.
- Monitor staff attendance and compliance with rules and regulations of the company.
- Aggressively implement continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
