What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver position at STEPS, Inc.?
Seeking Prince Edwards STEPS Head Start Bus Driver - part time
1. Responsible for ensuring the health, safety and welfare of the children, staff and volunteers during bus transportation to and from the Head Start Center and on field trips.
2. Responsible for making sure the bus is clean and in proper working order at all times.
3. Responsible for determining and following safe and efficient bus routes.
4. Responsible for ensuring all children are in age appropriate child safety restraints.
5. Responsible for assisting in ensuring child/staff ration is maintained on the bus and provide day to day guidance to the Bus Monitor.
6. Responsible for ensuring bus evacuation drills are held at least monthly.
7. Responsible for evacuating children from bus in case of emergency.
Must possess a current Commercial Driver's License, hold a current School Bus Driver's Permit and be certified in First Aid and CPR for all age groups transported. Also must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug test. Please submit the county of interest with your application.
