What are the responsibilities and job description for the Records Clerk position at Steptoe & Johnson PLLC?
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for organization of client files and physical condition of onsite/offsite storage space/facilities. This position is required to move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. daily.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Handles and processes client files in accordance with established Firm policies and procedures.
· Researches location of client files; creates additional folders and labels as needed or requested.
· Finds and corrects errors on existing files and makes appropriate changes on physical file in Firm’s Records Management system (FileTrail).
· Retrieves and delivers files and boxes as needed.
· Assists department personnel in locating misplaced files.
· Ability to efficiently organize storage spaces including moving and assembling shelving units for those spaces
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
· High School diploma or GED.
· Ability to regularly move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds to and from storage as required.
· Familiarity with Word, Outlook, Excel and iManage.
· Ability to sit, crouch, kneel, stand, walk, push, pull and lift for long periods of time daily.
· Operate computer, telephone, scanner, copier, voicemail and other office equipment.
· Must have valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and good driving record.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29,400.00 - $44,000.00 per year
