POSITION: Medical Billing Specialist
LOCATION: Elizabethtown, Kentucky
QUALIFICATIONS:
- high school diploma
- minimum of two years experience in behavioral healthcare/medical billing and collections
- experience with UB-04 and 1500 forms, ICD-10/CPT codes, and modifiers required by insurance providers
- ability to meet insurers’ requirements for appeals and timely-filing of claims
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TRAINING:
- timely, accurate follow-up and resolution of unpaid and denied medical claims (using telephone, written correspondence, online platforms, email, etc.)
- interact with insurance representatives
- prepare documentation for the appeal of denied claims
- post claims to insurance providers for reimbursement of services
SHIFT: full-time (40 hours per week)
