This office treats patients with complex medical and substance use disorders. The pharmacy will serve the needs of our rural health clinic as well as our two local residential treatment facilities.

POSITION: Pharmacy Technician
LOCATION: Stepworks Pharmacy (located in the Intensive Health medical building @ 201 Peterson Drive, Elizabethtown, Kentucky)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- high school diploma or equivalent
- registered/certified as a pharmacy technician in Kentucky
- experience in retail pharmacy
- ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, reach, and squat frequently,
- ability to lift, push or pull a minimum of 40 pounds
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TRAINING:
- day-to-day operations of the pharmacy including:- retrieving, pouring, counting,labeling, and reconstituting prescription medications.
- using the pharmacy’s computer system to maintain accurate records
- ensuring pharmacist has the necessary data to fill orders
- creating accurate prescription labels
- providing completed orders to customers
- collecting monies due from patients
- obtaining refill authorizations from prescribers
- processing and preparing third-party insurance claims
- communicating effectively and courteously with physicians, patients, and third-parties, such as insurers
- maintaining pharmacy inventory, including checking for outdated medication, and record keeping
- packaging and labeling products under the supervision of the pharmacist
- preparing reports related to sales, usage, and inventory
- maintaining and cleaning equipment, work areas, and shelves
- crisis intervention, first aid, CPR (training provided)
SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
