equipment-based solutions and generates technical sales and support for state-of-the-
art European developed equipment and brand building, to the pharmaceutical and
biotechnology markets throughout North America.
STEQ has partnered with Bonfiglioli Engineering, an Italian based global leader in the
manufacturing of package inspection equipment for the pharmaceutical, food &
beverage, and metal can industries.
The Role
STEQ are in search of an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to
manage the North American market for Bonfiglioli Engineering product portfolio. The
role, with support, is responsible for actively contributing towards a defined sales
strategy of the commercial operations for Bonfiglioli Engineering in North America. This
position will drive new business activities through direct sales and marketing activities.
This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities
Sales Leadership and Strategic Development
✓ Take responsibility for meeting sales objectives and proactively collaborate with
senior management to align goals and strategies.
✓ Define and execute strategic business development activities to drive growth.
✓ Develop an annual sales plan, setting key objectives, conducting market analysis,
formulating strategies, managing budgets, and establishing performance metrics.
✓ Adapt the sales strategy to market conditions and identify emerging
opportunities, adjusting as needed to optimize performance.
Client and Market Relationship Management
✓ Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key clients, ensuring their
short-term needs are met while identifying long-term business opportunities.
✓ Acquire a "sales-level" technical knowledge of the equipment and test
methodologies to instill confidence in the customers that they are working with
the right company.
✓ Work closely with the marketing team to identify relevant trade shows and
industry events, developing a marketing plan to support sales efforts and enhance
brand visibility.
✓ Advise on market pricing, distribution strategies, and other commercial practices,
offering insights that improve business efficiency.
Sales Operations and Reporting
✓ Oversee the creation and review of technical sales proposals, ensuring alignment
with budget and business goals before final approval.
✓ Provide regular updates to senior management, comparing actual sales
performance against forecasted budgets and adjusting plans as needed.
✓ Ensure timely and effective communication with customers, addressing any
concerns and resolving issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement and Efficiency
✓ Monitor market trends to identify product gaps, potential opportunities, and areas
for improvement.
✓ Recommend operational adjustments to improve efficiency and drive business
results.
✓ Perform additional sales-related duties as necessary to support overall business
objectives.
Requirements
✓ Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a technical discipline, business administration,
or related field.
✓ Packaging industry experienced, not less than five (5) years, with a strong preference
towards the pharma/biotech.
✓ Strategic planning and forecasting/budgeting experience.
✓ Compelling customer development skills and related selling experience.
✓ Working knowledge of software programs, MS Office. SalesForce, Zoho, etc.
