Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, cooking, and household chores.
- Facilitate social interactions and community involvement to enhance social skills and relationships.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
- Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, encouraging positive interactions.
- Assist with medication management as needed, ensuring adherence to prescribed regimens.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Skills
- Experience in caregiving or patient care is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques and dementia care practices is beneficial.
- Ability to perform CPR and basic first aid is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements.
