Overview: Sterile Services Co. is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team and provide essential nursing care at the esteemed Ralph H. Johnson Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) and its associated outpatient clinics. Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and record patients' vitals accurately.
- Ensure patients' cleanliness and comfort, assisting with bathing, feeding, and dressing.
- Administer medications and assist with medical procedures under supervision.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Provide clear explanations of treatments and procedures to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Adhere to infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing or Licensed Vocational Nursing program.
- Current, unrestricted LPN license in any U.S. state or territory.
- Current CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accredited by the American Heart Association.
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in any of the following settings (within the last 6 months):
- Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg)
- Long Term Care/Nursing Home
- Psychiatric/Mental Health
- Primary Care/Specialty Clinics
