At the heart of our Chesterfield Site Repair Lab in St. Louis, MO, you will thrive as a Precision Assembly Specialist. You’ll employ hand tools, power instruments, and microscopes to meticulously inspect and restore medical equipment such as flexible endoscopes. Working on a dedicated bench, you’ll deliver unparalleled Customer Experiences through quality repairs, aligning with compliance standards as part of our dynamic team.
Your schedule at our cutting-edge lab will be Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:45pm or Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm, offering flexibility to match your needs.

Responsibilities as a Technician
- Conduct precise repairs on surgical equipment to meet exacting specifications.
- Diagnose issues, execute tests, and replace or fix defective components.
- Troubleshoot and reassemble devices, ensuring they abide by standards.
- Escalate risks and issues promptly and effectively.
- Follow Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and support ISO objectives.
Ideal Experience, Skills, and Abilities
Mandatory Requirements:
- GED or high school diploma
- Over 2 years of verified work experience; ceiling of 1 year relevant experience or tenure at STERIS
- Capable of handling up to 25 pounds and maneuvering carts up to 150 pounds.
- Adaptability to work outside standard hours for customer needs.
- Certification in technical or mechanical fields, military experience, or similar can be equivalent.
Desirable Attributes:
- Familiarity with soldering or fine mechanical tasks
- Technical or vocational degree
- Technical training certifications
