Position Summary

Responsible for conceptual development, management, and final results of complex engineering projects designed toimprove operational performance, reduce cost, enhance safety, or establish compliance. Provides guidance anddirection to other Project Engineers and serves as technical expert for multiple projects. Must be able to managemultiple complex projects across multiple sites concurrently.

What You'll Do as a Project Engineer II- Process:
  • Develops project objectives, scope, schedules, and fees by analyzing project requirements and collaboratingwith Engineering, Sales and Operations management. Establishes detailed project plan from pre-design tocompletion by determining budgets, staffingand schedules including contractor and construction budgets.
  • Organizes project team by selecting and orienting team members, and delegating responsibilities and tasksincluding determining and monitoring the scope and priority of assignments of all internal disciplines and outsidecontractors. Determines additional service requirements and initiates contract adjustments.
  • Plans, organizes and conducts complex technical projects and/or serves as technical expert or oversees thedevelopment of engineering projects.
  • Conceives, plans and oversees or conducts process equipment evaluations and upgrades.
  • Evaluates, tests and prepares technical analysis and implementation plans for equipment improvements;makes recommendations for equipment purchases by researching and testing products and participating innegotiations with management and outsidevendors.
  • Develops and implements process controls which ensure consistent equipment and process performance.
  • Keeps abreast of, and is well informed on, new developments and technology through contact with educationalinstitutions and professional organizations, trade shows, and technical publications.
  • Assists with the coordination or directs engineering/facility projects through resolution of operational problemsimplementing and overseeing testing, reviewing design and safety issues, and overseeing contracted resources.
  • Obtains information for the design/development of components, assemblies and other operating equipmentthrough manufacturer's information, technology, databases, consultants, and contractors.
  • Performs professional engineering assignments of varying and significant complexity under general directionwith considerable discretion as to work detail, and provides guidance and direction to other Engineering staff incompleting complex assignments.
  • Assists in maintaining a safe, clean, secure and efficient working environment by implementing and enforcingprocedures, rules and regulations, supports plant safety meetings that evaluate plant machinery, equipmentand/or working conditions.
  • Ensures that all federal, state and local regulations as well as building codes pertaining to, but not limited to,radioactive materials, licensing compliance, safety, EPA, OSHA, NFPA, FDA rules and regulations are adheredto.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of regulations.
The Experience, Skills and Abilities:

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline
  • Minimum of five to eight (5-8) years of related experience in complex project management, processimprovement, and/or project engineering.
  • Ability to read, interpret and practically apply electrical ladder diagrams and mechanical blueprints.
  • Working knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) or other types of process controlequipment.

Preferred:

  • Above average organizing, analyzing and Level 4 math skills (practical application of fractions,percentages, ratios, proportions, measurements and basic algebra) to determine organizational Customer andregulatory problems and formulate corrective actionplans; attention to detail.
  • Computer skills and word processing, spreadsheet and software capabilities.

  • Ability to effectively read, write and verbally communicate.
  • Ability to work independently under general guidelines and supervision.
  • Effective interpersonal skills as demonstrated through prior management experience.
  • Able to adapt to changing duties and responsibilities.
  • Able to influence people in the opinions, attitude or judgments and to generalize, evaluate and decide and toadapt to situations under stress.
  • Normal hearing range sufficient to hear alarms, bells, horns, and normal visual acuity.

Pay range for this opportunity is$91,250.00-$127,575.00. This position is eligible for [BONUS PARTICIPATION]OR a [INSERT COMMISSION RATE RANGE, IF APPLICABLE] commission.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.

Employees (and their families) may enroll in our company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, health savings account, voluntary benefits, supplemental life/AD&D plans and the company's 401k plan. Employees are covered by an employee assistance program (also available to household members) and long-term disability. Full-Time Employees are also eligible for short-term disability. Full-time Employees will also receive Paid Time Off (PTO) based on years of service and paid Holidays. Part-time employees working 20 or more hours receive a pro-ration of the full-time PTO allocation and paid Holidays based on their standard hourly work week. Full-Time employees are eligible for four weeks of paid parental leave. Part-time employees also receive paid parental leave, pro-rated based on their standard hourly work week.
