As an Operations Supervisor at STERIS in Spartanburg, SC, you'll direct teams in processing, maintenance, and warehousing, creating a motivational environment for success. Take charge of training, guiding, and achieving company goals by utilizing strategic processes.
DAY SHIFT
From 6:45 am to 7:00 pm with breaks. Schedule: Week 1 includes Mon & Tues work, Wed & Thurs off, followed by a working weekend. Week 2 provides freedom on Mon & Tues, aligns with work on Wed & Thurs, and a restful long weekend.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Create an empowering shop floor atmosphere focused on goals in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, reducing waste and standardizing processes.
- Mainstay in daily quality meetings, nurturing skills, and assuring safety compliance.
- Constructive feedback and training to drive continuous improvement in team performance.
- Engage with lean initiatives to foster innovation.
- Troubleshoot and address primary concerns relating to process efficiency.
- Enhance organizational commitment through lean methodologies.
- Promote a culture of open communication and positive relations.
- Supervise hiring and equip the team with essential insights and tools.
- Coordinate with different departments to ensure seamless audits and quality delivery.
- Capture performance data and manage KPIs effectively.
What We Look For:
- High School education or GED as a foundation.
- Substantial experience within STERIS or analog operations setting.
- Forklift operational know-how.
- Math skills applicable to a production context.
- Communicative capabilities, especially in team-centric environments.
- Comfortable with Microsoft’s suite, notably Office 365.
Advantageous:
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Understanding of regulated industry nuances, such as FDA.
- Experience managing teams and certified in equipment operations.
