Role Overview:
As a Facility Maintenance Specialist at STERIS, you play a vital role by expertly managing maintenance tasks that ensure our facility's seamless operations. You will tackle repairs and preventive upkeep within a validated, cGMP setting, aiming to minimize equipment downtime while boosting productivity. Your responsibilities range from maintaining shop tools and updating the CMMS to emergency response support when necessary, all while aligning with Lean and 5S practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical failures throughout our facilities.
- Execute scheduled maintenance on processing equipment, continuously refining processes for efficiency.
- Enhance equipment longevity through regular predictive upkeep and handle new installations.
- Ensure safety by prioritizing maintenance inspections and adhering to regulations and safety procedures.
- Flexible shift work, including emergencies, and inventory management are expected.
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in arts like heavy equipment repairs and electrical installations.
- Familiarity with HVAC/R systems, VFDs, PLCs, and conveyor systems.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities and ability to interpret blueprints.
- Holds a High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience.
