Position Summary
The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for supervising the Laboratory staff and workflow to meet Customer and Regulatory requirements.
Duties
- Supervises workflow and technical staff in execution of Laboratory testing, in support of regulatory and quality system compliance to meet Customer specifications. 50-65%
- Mentors and develops staff for planning, scheduling and monitoring of Laboratory operations 15% - 20%
- Oversees purchasing of laboratory supplies meets departmental needs and approves purchase requisitions. 5%
- Executes operational improvements to efficiency, quality and/or cost. 10% - 15%
- Owns interview process for open positions, makes decisions on hiring. 5%
- Initiates and executes Quality System Investigations, Customer Dissatisfactions and Corrective actions as required by procedure. 5%
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 8 years experience in a Laboratory
- Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership role
