Hours of operation 6:00am-10:00pm(0600-2200) Daily
1st Shift- 6:00am-2:00pm (0600-1400)
2nd Shift- 2:00pm-10:00pm (1400-2200)
A Line Service Personnel is a customer-focused role that plays a key part in delivering safe and efficient services for general aviation aircraft, their crews, and passengers. The Line Service regularly handles ground service equipment and applies a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures to ensure high-quality service to customers and guests at the fixed base operation (FBO).

Responsibilities:
Some tasks may need to be carried out in various weather and environmental conditions, such as rain, extreme temperatures, jet engine fumes, dust, and noise. These activities can take place both indoors and outdoors, near stationery or moving aircraft, including those with spinning propellers and engines.
- Maintain consistent and dependable in-person attendance for all assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Execute flight line operations safely and precisely, following established policies and procedures.
- This position requires extensive physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, stretching, pushing, pulling, bending, crouching and climbing
- Strong vision and coordination are needed to move or direct aircraft and to inspect aircraft fuel visually.
- Communicate clearly in English, whether in person, by phone, radio, or in writing, to perform job duties and ensure safety.
- Understand and follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Work well as part of a team, get along with others, follow instructions accurately, adhere to company policies, and seek clarification when necessary.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Handle stressful situations and high-profile clients with professionalism,
- Take initiative to prepare for incoming and outgoing aircraft, identify and complete job tasks, and promptly report any safety concerns to the relevant parties.
Description
- Collaborate with team members to provide safe and efficient aircraft services, including washing and detailing aircrafts, all while creating a welcoming environment for customers and guests.
- Work closely with coworkers, customers, clients, vendors, and aircraft crews to meet service needs, ensuring clear and effective communication to complete operational tasks.
- Perform aircraft services as directed by management or requested by customers, including fueling, lavatory servicing, aircraft washing/detailing, ground power, potable water, parking, marshalling, catering delivery, and towing.
- Operate ground service equipment such as fuel trucks, tractors, ground power units, tugs, golf carts, and other vehicles.
- Deliver general aviation services to crew members, customers, and other guests.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and secure ramp area and operations.
- Drive golfcarts or other vehicles for passengers, luggage assistance.
- Load and unload luggage from aircraft, the FBO, or other locations.
- Handle fuel tasks including quality control, receipt, inventory management, and accurate documentation.
- Provide professional, friendly customer service with a positive attitude, always demonstrating courtesy and consideration.
- Adhere to and enforce operational, safety, and customer service standards for all job functions.
- Follow and enforce all security protocols (physical, cyber, and data) as required by FBO and the airport.
- Accurately document fuel intake and outtake, and other written documentation.
- Must be able to use basic math knowledge and use of calculator for accuracy.
- Follow emergency response procedures as necessary during critical events.
- Perform all other duties as requested and assigned.
Job Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must be able to pass Drug and Background check
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- A valid state driver’s license
- Follow instruction
- Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and obtain and maintain an airport security badge
- Legal authorization to work in the country of employment
- Capability to successfully complete Sterling Air’s training programs in a timely manner
- Proficiency in using a computer and email, including completing computer-based training modules
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, particularly for safety-sensitive tasks
- Basic arithmetic skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, fractions, angles, degrees, and time calculations
- Flexibility to work various schedules, including nights, holidays, weekends, and in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to work outside in all conditions

- FBO Experience or training in aviation, customer service, or a related field; or a comparable combination of education and experience
