As an Automotive Technician, you are responsible for performing the diagnosis and repair of customer and dealership vehicles. By maintaining technical competence and producing the highest quality of service work, you will be an integral part of helping the dealership to retain its customers and continue to grow.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair customer and dealership vehicles, following manufacturer guidelines
- Use advanced diagnostic equipment and tools to troubleshoot vehicle issues
- Work closely with service advisors and other technicians to provide accurate repair estimates and updates; request needed parts from parts department
- Install equipment, systems, and vehicle components
- Record diagnostic findings, safety concerns, and maintenance recommendations
- Must follow all dealership and industry standard safety policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations
- Stay up to date with the latest automotive technology and participate in ongoing training
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and services to clients as needed
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience performing advanced diagnosis and repair
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures
- Proficiency with computerized diagnostic equipment and repair tools
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check & drug screen
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and be at least 21 years of age or have 3 full years of driving record
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required
