Loaner Car Agent

Sterling Automotive Group is hiring! We are looking for outgoing individuals who take pride in serving Acadiana and being a part of a successful family-owned and operated business.

Position Overview:

As a Loaner Car Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless rental experience for customers whose vehicles are undergoing maintenance or repair in our Service Department. Your commitment to exceptional customer service and effective communication will be essential in guiding customers through the entire loaner car process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide customers through the entire loaner car process and problem solve customer concerns as they arise
• Ensure customers provide all required documentation and thoroughly understand our policies and all signed agreements
• Assist Service Advisors with providing customers with status updates on their vehicle
• Preparation and facilitation of the rental agreement, including detailed customer and vehicle information
• Answer and direct calls appropriately using a multi-line phone system and assist in scheduling service appointments
• Initiate and work insurance claims for damages on rental vehicles and collect customer deductibles for damages
• Maintain updated data in required spreadsheets and programs
• Contact customers via phone and text to follow up on completed services, requested services, and appointment scheduling and confirmation
• Complete a vehicle walk-around, demonstrating basic functions of the vehicle prior to customer leaving
• Complete a vehicle check-in with the customer both prior to leaving with the rental unit and once it is returned, and have the vehicle detailed and ready for the next customer
• Work closely with the Service Department on when fuel and/or maintenance is needed on rental units
• Collect warranty payout for vehicles, following proper protocol
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance
  
  

What We're Looking For:

• Must have at least two or more years of customer service experience
• A proactive team player with a willingness to learn and adapt to organizational processes
• Must be coachable and have strong communication and time management skills
• Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check & drug screen
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and be at least 21 years of age or have 3 full years of driving experience due to insurance purposes
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required
  
  

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
