As a Service Department Cashier, you will be the final point of contact for customers during their service experience. You’ll process payments, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain a professional and welcoming environment. This is a versatile position that is cross trained to assist the Service Department with the completion of various daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Process payments accurately, including cash, credit card, and check transactions
- Provide clear explanations of invoices and services performed
- Answer customer inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department
- Maintain and balance cash drawer and receipts
- Answer and direct calls appropriately using a multi-line phone system
- Serve as a backup for our main receptionist as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and appointment scheduling
- Collaborate with service advisors, technicians, and other team members to ensure smooth operations
- Uphold dealership standards for customer service and professionalism
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred, ideally in an automotive or retail environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in basic math and handling monetary transactions
- Familiarity with dealership management systems (preferred but not required; training provided)
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer service
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check & drug screen
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and be at least 18 years of age
