The successful candidate will perform security analysis and valuation of equity securities for potential inclusion in clients’ investment portfolios for Sterling Capital Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as a main point of contact for client and prospect inquiries and requests
- Construct financial models on subject companies
- Analyze and understand company financial statements, public filings, and various forms of investment research.
- Interview company managements and Wall Street contacts.
- Prepare written reports on companies under coverage.
- Recommend securities to be included in client portfolios.
- Review and provide feedback on other analysts’ investment recommendations.
- Effectively communicate with institutional clients and consultants regarding Sterling’s investment management process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and related training
- 5 or more years of equity analysis experience
- Thorough knowledge of equity securities and their attributes
- High level of technological competence
- Strong communications skills
- Advanced analytical abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Software products
- Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
