Job Summary:
The Recreation Director is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operations of the recreation department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, as well as the organization's policies and procedures. This role ensures the implementation of an ongoing program of activities that meets the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident, based on comprehensive assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development & Implementation:
- Plan, organize, and oversee recreational activities to enhance residents' quality of life.
- Ensure programs align with residents' interests and comprehensive assessments.
- Coordinate and deliver various program services, including:
- Family engagement programs
- Spiritual and religious activities
- Community outreach and volunteer programs
Personnel Management:
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise recreation department staff.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Ensure staff deliver programs with professionalism, sensitivity, and tact.
Resident & Family Engagement:
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and caregivers.
- Address resident and family concerns to ensure satisfaction with recreational programs.

Compliance & Regulations:
