What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internship- Construction Safety position at Sterling Construction, Inc.?
Interns will be expected to assist in
- Maintaining divisional Safety and Health Program that meets or exceeds corporate minimum requirements
- Ensure timely reporting of statistical data to corporate
- Create, communicate, enforce and identify opportunities for improvements in Corporate Safety Program
- Maintaining all administrative tasks related to project specific safety documentation/filing systems, etc.
- Assist in conducting regularly scheduled site evaluations, follow up and tracking of corrections to deficiencies
- Enforce documentation on the proper training of employees as related to their scope of work
- Junior or Senior (highly preferred)
- Minimum GPA 2.75
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related degree.
- Past construction work experience is preferred but not required
