What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pile Buck/ Pile Driver position at Sterling Construction, Inc.?
Pile Buck responsibilities and abilities include but are not limited to the list below.
- Examines blueprints to determine dimensions of structure and jobsite layout.
- Lays out worksite as needed.
- Determines sequence of activities concerned for piling installation.
- Assigns workers to daily tasks and manages production.
- Provide signals to cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment
- Drive pilings for retaining walls, bulkheads, and foundations of structures, such as buildings, bridges, and piers
- Effectively position and operate power hammers to drive pilings
- Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding.
- Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
- Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, or stick arc welding equipment.
- Clean, lubricate, and refill equipment.
- Drive pilings to provide support for buildings or other structures, using heavy equipment with a pile driver head.
- 3 years of experience in tele-handler or rough-terrain forklift operation
- 4 years of experience working with cranes
- 4 years of experience working with, maintaining and inspecting pile hammers, leads, lifting cables, and slings.
- 4 years of experience in welding and cutting
- 3 year of being 3G & 4G certified for welding (Stick, wire)
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs
- Crane Certifications is a plus but not required
