Title : Precision Assembler
Location : Portage, IN
Shift : 1st ( 7AM- 3 : 30PM)
Hire Type : Contract
Pay : $25 / hr
Job Duties :
- Complete assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders; perform testing as needed.
- Use inspection equipment (e.g., micrometers, vernier, CMM) to ensure parts / assemblies meet specifications.
- Operate precision measuring tools and hand tools (e.g., hydraulic torque wrench, fire torch).
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement (CIP) activities and comply with company policies.
- Read and interpret technical documents (e.g., blueprints, safety rules, manuals).
Qualifications :
- High school diploma / GED with 3-5 years relevant experience; vocational training / certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of automation control and electrical components.
- Experience as a mechanic for rotating machines or general mechanical work.
- Strong mechanical experience required.
