Job Summary :
- A highly motivated and experienced Engineering Manager is sought to lead the maintenance, engineering, and facilities functions for a dynamic manufacturing plant. This critical role ensures smooth operations, drives continuous improvement, and fosters a high-performing team. The Engineering Manager partners closely with plant leadership, employees, and key functional areas within the organization. A primary focus is optimizing the performance of the Maintenance Department through strategic planning, systems development, and effective team leadership.
Job Duties :
Financial Stewardship : Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and achievement of financial targets. Oversee capital and expense projects, adhering to scope, budget, and timeline requirements.Maintenance Excellence : Develop, implement, and maintain robust maintenance systems to support continuous manufacturing, including preventative maintenance, spare parts inventory management, and a streamlined work order system.Quality Assurance Focus : Ensure all departmental activities meet or exceed established quality standards and specifications.Project Leadership : Collaborate with on-site staff and senior management to review and approve plans for new equipment installation and layout, prioritizing operational efficiency.Team Development : Provide regular support and guidance to team members, addressing concerns and fostering a positive work environment. Manage employee performance through clear expectations, accountability, and development.Continuous Improvement Champion : Drive key performance indicators, participate in corrective action planning, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to ensure plant sustainability and operational excellence.Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with other departments to resolve issues, implement new procedures or processes, and support new product introductions.Effective Communication : Maintain open and effective communication at all levels, ensuring key stakeholders are informed and can respond appropriately. Communicate process, equipment, and product changes to affected employees in a timely manner.Operational Flexibility : Available to work off-shifts and respond to plant issues as needed.Safety and Compliance Advocate : Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, GMPs, and relevant regulatory requirements for the industry.Qualifications :
