Sterling Engineering is looking for a Automation Engineering Manager in Northlake, IL. This opportunity is with a leading manufacturer of pigments and colorants for coatings, cosmetics, plastics, inks, and more for the automotive and healthcare industries. Job Duties :
- Analyze manufacturing systems to identify areas for efficiency, productivity, and safety improvements.
- Lead the integration of new equipment and automation technologies for maximum impact.
- Oversee automated systems (both remotely and in-person) to troubleshoot issues and reduce downtime.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of technicians providing 24 / 7 automation support.
- Drive Lean methodologies and 5S initiatives with cross-functional teams.
- Support project managers and engineers on robotics and automation projects.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, including PSM principles, PSSR, PHA, and JHA.
