Job Description :
This role is responsible for various engineering, maintenance, and installation projects and will focus on both customer requirements and needs and contribute to internal product development. The role will require engagement with both customers and leveraging internal team to accomplish business goals and objectives. This position also must work with all customers Nationally / Internationally. This position will work with leadership, product management, and the Q&P team to develop and manage all general quotes and proposals, including long-term purchase agreements and international projects.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Create project management plans, including project scheduleMaintain project schedule and communicate updates / impactsProvide formal project communication / status reports to external customers / stakeholdersUtilize NPI process and manage PM-responsible NPI activitiesCoordinate review of customer contracts and related deliverablesReview sub-contracts and licensing agreements tied to contractsCoordinate project scoping meetingsProvide update to Production and Product Manager regarding potential project-related production order impactsFacilitate creation of mitigation plans for project-related material shortages, quality problems, certification, etc.Manage execution of customer requested changesCoordinate all applicable legal and compliance approvals for customer visits / training related to Government Officials for the projectCoordinate all customer visits required for project activitiesCoordinate execution of acceptance activitiesEducation :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent trainingA current Project Management Professional (PMP) CertificationQualifications and Experience :
10 years of experience working in project management, to include :Planning and estimating
Scope, schedule, cost, and risk managementDriving projects through to completionPrevious NPI (specifically New Technology Product Introduction - hardware and firmware) project management experience5 years of managing projects that include product hardware, firmware and software development, as well as system integrationRecent experience working directly with Product Management and Systems EngineeringStrong Agile project management methodologies experience, as well as Waterfall methodologies understandingStrong experience using JIRA tools for planning and executing the entire project lifecycle such as project initiation, Scrum & sprint planning, resource planningCritical thinking and problem-solving skills; courage to make challenging decisions; understanding of production process and SOP'sDemonstrated strong leadership skills and ability to work with cross functional teamsCoach and develop other Project Managers on Project Management Tools and ProcessesDemonstrated strong attention to details / technicalitiesAbility to work together in a team environment and to manage a diverse workforceDemonstrated understanding of scheduling and manpower planningStrong proficiency with Excel / MS Office toolsAbility to travel as requiredQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
