Sterling Engineering is looking for an Operational Technician for a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging solutions. This is a great opportunity to work with a client that has great benefits and a great culture!
Job Duties :
- Operate, maintain, and perform changeovers on production machines and equipment
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, OSHA safety requirements, and company guidelines
- Provide mechanical and electrical support for routine and preventive maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including PLCs, variable speed drives, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Assist in root cause analysis to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability
- Interpret and troubleshoot using electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics
- Oversee production changeovers, ensuring proper line clearance and documentation
- Participate in the implementation of new technologies and process improvements
- Follow Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) safety protocols
- Report food / product safety risks and take corrective actions as needed
