Job Summary :
- Supporting the design, development, and manufacturing of both new and existing window products. This role will collaborate closely with packaging design, R&D, and other cross-functional teams to identify innovative solutions and drive cost-saving opportunities.
Job Duties :
Support the design, development, and validation testing of new products or enhancements to existing products.Manage multiple projects through the Stage-Gate product development process, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.Translate user requirements into technical specifications and conduct feasibility studies for new solutions.Create detailed CAD designs and 3D models to aid in product development.Perform engineering analyses, including tolerance and stackup analysis, and prepare FMEAs and technical documentation.Build and test prototypes, performing bench-top experiments to validate design concepts.Plan and execute testing methodologies, analyze data, and create reports to support decision-making.Collaborate with sourcing and manufacturing engineering teams to ensure product designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Engineering.3-5 years of experience in product development projects.Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles in a lean environment.Experience with structured product development processes, including iterative and stage-gate methodologies.Familiarity with various manufacturing processes such as molding, extrusion, metal forming, light assembly, and glass production.Ability to identify and implement cost-saving strategies.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
