Position Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Technical Sales Expert to join our team at Sterling Engineering. This role involves driving sales of our custom automation solutions and working closely with customers to understand their unique requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- New Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by engaging with manufacturers, system integrators, and other industrial clients.
- Assess customer automation needs and propose customized solutions that optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Sales Cycle Management
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and technical demonstrations to customers.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, providing ongoing support and identifying opportunities for additional solutions.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging automation technologies.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of Account Management and/or Business Development experience within a custom equipment manufacturer.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingsness to travel nationally up to 50%
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
