Job Duties:

• Perform timely procurement, planning, inventory control, and sales order demand analysis to ensure sufficient quantities of production and warehouse goods.
• Procure equipment, parts, components, raw materials, tools, supplies, and services essential for manufacturing and distribution operations.
• Ensure goods and services meet required quantity, quality, delivery timelines, and customer fill rates at the most economical costs.
• Place and expedite purchase orders while monitoring inventory levels to meet availability and service goals.
• Support all departments to achieve business objectives and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist the departmental supervisor with process improvements and the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Train new Buyers and contribute to setting annual team goals and initiatives.
• Execute ABC Analysis and Annual Cost Roll to support inventory and cost management efforts.

Qualifications:

• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in purchasing, material planning, supply chain management, or inventory control, ideally within a manufacturing, assembly, distribution center, or industrial environment.
• Prior experience with purchasing processes, including MRP, JIT, and Kanban techniques.
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings is required.
• Experience developing "should-be" cost estimates based on drawings and part samples.
