Director Project Management

We are working with a longstanding client in the electrical utility industry who is seeking to hire a Director of Project Management for a major opportunity within their organization. This key role will be responsible for overseeing all project management-related functions on a global scale. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader and change agent, driving continuous improvement, identifying project-related challenges, and implementing innovative strategies to enhance performance across the sector.

• Base Salary: $170,000 - $180,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the global project management team, ensuring successful execution of large-scale projects across multiple regions.
• Lead and manage a diverse group of project managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement best practices for project management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.
• Identify and address project-related challenges, making strategic decisions to mitigate risks and ensure successful outcomes.
• Implement change management strategies to continuously improve project delivery processes and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Spearhead New Product Development (NPD) initiatives, working to align projects with evolving market demands and innovative solutions.
• Provide training and coaching for project managers, promoting professional development and upskilling across the team.
• Establish and track KPIs to measure project performance, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Foster a positive, collaborative culture by promoting open communication, teamwork, and accountability across global project teams.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in project management within the electrical utility or similar industry.
• Technical Degree
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing and growing project management teams.
• Strong understanding of NPD processes and the ability to drive innovation in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
