Job Summary:
The Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (EIC) Engineer is responsible for the execution of electrical, instrumentation, and controls project work in a growing Station EIC group. This role involves technical project execution and client interface/management while supporting the EIC Engineering Manager to ensure project requirements are met or exceeded.
Job Duties:
- Maintain broad and in-depth knowledge of principles, practices, procedures, and standards related to electrical, instrumentation, controls, and automation systems.
- Ensure overall success and coordination of the electrical scope on technical projects.
- Oversee department procedures and standards for the electrical group.
- Provide direction and make final decisions within the electrical scope of technical projects.
- Support initial project design, including defining objectives, scope, and input into overall power system design.
- Develop and support all electrical deliverables, including instrument lists, I/O lists, loop and wiring diagrams, ETAP/SLD and power system modeling, physical layout design, circuit/conduit schedules, equipment specifications, RFQ packages, MTOs, and contractor scopes of work.
- Contribute to P&ID development and reviews.
- Provide support for construction and commissioning needs.
- Work under supervision and guidance related to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited curriculum or equivalent.
- 4-13 years of experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas/Utility industry.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
