Engineering Manager

This position is responsible for managing product integrity, new product design, and day-to-day jobs, and related production.

Responsibilities

• Manages activities of Engineering work groups including mill duty, vacuum, posi-turner, standards and stock products.
• Implements changes and incorporates more use of automated design changes to drive reuse of existing designs.
• Provides technical direct to the electrical engineering team members with design guidelines, documented practices, and wiring standardization.
• Interacts with customers as needed for technical questions and concerns relative to new or in process builds.
• Manages and develops the Engineering staff. Outlines training plans, provides training and development opportunities and delivers performance management, as needed.
• Reviews designs and performs stress calculations. Issues guidance on necessary changes or approves drawings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (BSME) required
• Six years of experience in engineering positions of increasing responsibility and scope.
• Three years of experience managing an engineering department.
• Six years of experience designing and revising using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other automated design software.
