This position is responsible for managing product integrity, new product design, and day-to-day jobs, and related production.
Responsibilities
- Manages activities of Engineering work groups including mill duty, vacuum, posi-turner, standards and stock products.
- Implements changes and incorporates more use of automated design changes to drive reuse of existing designs.
- Provides technical direct to the electrical engineering team members with design guidelines, documented practices, and wiring standardization.
- Interacts with customers as needed for technical questions and concerns relative to new or in process builds.
- Manages and develops the Engineering staff. Outlines training plans, provides training and development opportunities and delivers performance management, as needed.
- Reviews designs and performs stress calculations. Issues guidance on necessary changes or approves drawings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (BSME) required
- Six years of experience in engineering positions of increasing responsibility and scope.
- Three years of experience managing an engineering department.
- Six years of experience designing and revising using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other automated design software.
Salary : $140,000 - $165,000
