Job Overview : We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team within a large manufacturing facility. The EHS Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring compliance with EHS / OHSAS standards and fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. This position is pivotal in driving initiatives that align with company goals while adapting to evolving business requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Compliance Management : Ensure adherence to EHS programs, including ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 / 45001 standards, and maintain compliance with all applicable government regulations and policies.
- Regulatory Reporting : Complete or oversee the timely and accurate submission of required regulatory reports.
- Safety Advocacy : Develop, implement, and promote proactive EHS systems, policies, and procedures to enhance safe work practices across the facility.
- Performance Metrics : Generate, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics to measure progress and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Training and Development : Organize and conduct EHS training programs for employees, ensuring awareness and compliance at all levels.
- Issue Resolution : Identify, monitor, and assist in resolving environmental, health, and safety issues, providing actionable recommendations to mitigate risks.
- Operational Control : Lead efforts to establish and maintain key EHS operational controls, ensuring timely resolution of action items.
- Leadership Support : Advise and collaborate with leadership and other EHS professionals on EHS-related matters, including data gathering, problem-solving, and providing guidance on best practices.
