What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Project Engineer position at Sterling Engineering?
Essential Functions:
- Establish the project plan and use it to manage project delivery.
- Able to work in a structured 3-D environment. 2-D design is a plus.
- Working knowledge of bill-of-material management on both the drawings and within an ERP system.
- Own the project objectives and deliverables. Review and release projects for procurement.
- Communicate project status.
- Creates and maintains budgets and forecasts requirements with economic justifications linked to project activities.
- Manage a project to adhere to the process
- Coordinate activities to meet program budget and timing schedule.
- Develop & maintain program budgets to include labor, material, and outsourcing.
- Be focused on the full project life cycle and the impact it has on other projects.
- Develop program requirements with the chief engineer to align with the platform requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience working in an engineering capacity supporting product development with a particular focus on full machine delivery in the material handling, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or other heavy equipment industry
- PMP or CPAM-PMI Certification
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
