Maintenance Manager – Plastic Injection Molding
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager with a strong background in plastic injection molding to lead our maintenance team and ensure that our manufacturing equipment operates at peak efficiency. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact by driving equipment reliability, developing team members, and implementing best practices in maintenance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a technical maintenance team, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to assign and monitor work orders.
- Develop and implement work instructions and training programs for personnel.
- Implement and sustain LEAN, 5S initiatives, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs.
- Ensure all manufacturing equipment is maintained within specifications and report deviations.
- Oversee installation, qualification, and removal of new and used equipment.
- Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor trends for continuous improvement.
- Assist with projects such as plant expansions, layout modifications, and new equipment qualification.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience maintaining large equipment, with 3-5 years in a management role.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to use basic hand tools.
- Experience with injection molding machines and assembly automation.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proven ability to mentor and coach individuals and teams.
- Experience working in ISO 8 Clean Room environments.
- Critical thinking and organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Work Environment:
- Combination of ISO 8 Clean Room and general office settings.
- Occasional travel between campus buildings.
