Job Summary :
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of technicians in maintaining and optimizing equipment uptime within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing work assignments, training, performance evaluations, and driving continuous improvement in maintenance operations.
Job Duties :
Supervise and direct a team of maintenance technicians specializing in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Diagnose complex equipment malfunctions and guide technicians in troubleshooting and repairs.Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.Manage work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor the performance of maintenance staff.Train, coach, and mentor technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and industry-specific requirements.Manage spare parts inventory and requisition necessary supplies.Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to operations.Analyze production schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for maintenance tasks.Interpret technical documentation, including blueprints, schematics, and manuals.Recommend and implement improvements to maintenance procedures, equipment performance, and product quality.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including time, materials, and equipment history.Foster a positive and productive work environment for the maintenance team.Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food processing or a related industry.Extensive knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.Experience with robotics and related programming is a plus.Knowledge of welding, refrigeration, and plumbing is preferred.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage a team of technicians.Strong commitment to safety and compliance.Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is required.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
