Pay Rate : $28 / hr - $36 / hr

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician III to join our team in Swedesboro, NJ. This is a cross-functional role that requires expertise in electronic, electric, and pneumatic controls and instrumentation. The technician will work closely with other crafts, such as boiler mechanics, HVAC mechanics, locksmiths, and plumbers, to repair and install complex control / instrumentation systems.
Responsibilities :
- Troubleshoot, repair, fabricate, and install electronic systems, complex gauges, and instrumentation, including mechanical and electronic interfaces.
- Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, install, and program electronic, electric, and pneumatic controls and instrumentation systems for :
Boilers
Building access systemsBuilding automation systemsFire protection systemsMaterial handling systems (e.g., elevators)Time management systemsEnergy measurement systemsProgram PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and / or microprocessor-based systems.Calibrate instruments for accuracy, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications and tolerances.Rebuild instruments as necessary, including sourcing parts and tools.Assist with data communication design and installations.Maintain accurate time and material records and prepare work reports following standard operating procedures.Perform system inspections and recommend upgrades or renovations.Utilize computers for email communication, work instructions, and administrative tasks, including electronic payroll forms.Communicate daily via two-way radio / pager system to respond to routine and emergency work requests.Ensure proper working condition of shop equipment.Maintain a clean, uncluttered, and safe work environment.Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.Support efforts to maintain and improve the quality, legality, and safety of products and manufacturing processes.Keep the work area clean and report any potential contamination or suspicious activity to a supervisor immediately.Qualifications :
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.Minimum of four (4) years of experience in instrumentation, measurement, and control, electronics, electrical, and / or mechanical programs.An associate's degree in Electronics or Process Instrumentation and Control is preferred.Experience in troubleshooting PLC software, I / O, field devices, and mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems is highly preferred.Certification as a journeyman in the instrumentation trade and ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CSST) Program Level II may be substituted for required education.Experience in a maintenance department, preferably in an automated food processing plant, is a plus.Knowledge of equipment setup, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques is essential.Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
