Job Duties:
- Develop and revise designs by following industry standards, compliance protocols, and accepted drawing practices.
- Convert rough product concepts into detailed working documents using computer-aided design (CAD) software and industry specifications.
- Identify and specify system components or modify existing products to meet engineering requirements.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing teams, including updating and adjusting drawings as needed.
- Create accurate bills of materials (BOMs) for assembly and detailed drawings to ensure proper material selection and ordering.
- Collaborate with engineers to address structural, functional, or scheduling challenges, maintaining project timelines.
- Utilize computerized design tools to perform stress analysis and ensure structural integrity.
- Review and validate instruction manuals to ensure accuracy and alignment with engineering designs.
- Stay up to date with industry advancements through ongoing education and training.
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations to promote a secure working environment.
- Associates degree in drafting/design or equivalent hands-on experience
- Minimally 1-2 years experience in mechanical design with exposure to designing and revising
