About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our Sterling Engineering team. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical and mechanical equipment in our manufacturing plant.
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and repair work on facility equipment, including pumps, presses, valves, fans, and safety machine guards.
- Perform predictive and preventative maintenance duties to ensure the optimal performance of equipment.
- Source replacement parts, materials, tools, and spare parts when needed.
- Ensure the proper functioning of CNC and related machine shop equipment.
- Support the construction of components for major plant projects and maintenance tasks.
- Operate and maintain forklifts and overhead cranes as necessary.
- Manage the spare parts inventory.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues with engines, conveyors, electrical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial electro-mechanical settings.
- Excellent mechanical skills.
- Knowledge of electrical systems up to 480-volt 3-phase.
- Experience with HVAC systems a plus.
- Familiarity with PLC's desired.
- Machining experience beneficial.
