Title : PLC Programing Technician
Location : West Chicago, IL
Shift & Hours : 1st Shift 5 : 30am- 3 : 30pm
Pay Rate : $80K-$90K

Position Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced PLC Programming Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting machines that use PLCs to automate processes. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues while performing routine and basic equipment maintenance to ensure smooth operations. This position may require working in excess of 40 hours per week based on department needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Programming : Design, create, and optimize PLC programs to control and monitor machines, ensuring efficient and safe production processes.
- Maintenance : Troubleshoot and repair issues with PLC-driven systems and ensure all equipment functions properly.
- Design : Reprogram existing machines to improve operations and enhance efficiency.
- Support : Provide continuous support for PLC systems in various operational environments.
- Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring all work is conducted safely and in compliance with safety protocols.
- Complete work assignments in a timely and efficient manner with minimal supervision.
- Evaluate machinery performance, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions to enhance machine efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Focus on process improvements and machine optimization.
Qualifications :
Experience and Education :
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with electrical, hydraulic, mechanical systems, and PLC programming is required.
Performing routine preventative maintenance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
Work Environment :
This role operates within a manufacturing environment.
