Sterling is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join a leading food manufacturing company. If you’re passionate about food safety, compliance, and quality systems, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead food safety and quality assurance initiatives to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards.
- Oversee and develop a team in a 24/7 production environment.
- Manage third-party audits, regulatory inspections, and customer quality inquiries.
- Drive continuous improvement by developing policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and leadership teams to enhance quality systems.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, FSMA, GFSI, and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee allergen control, GMPs, metal detection, and gluten-free certification programs.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5 years of progressive QA experience in food manufacturing, including management or supervisory roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biological Sciences, Nutrition, or equivalent experience.
- Certified SQF Practitioner with strong knowledge of FDA, FSMA, and GFSI standards.
- Leadership experience with the ability to train and develop teams.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Experience in co-manufacturing environments is a plus.
