Key Responsibilities :
Design custom automated systems tailored to diverse environments, balancing cost and labor constraints.
Collaborate with Applications Engineering, Sales, and other departments to assess project feasibility and ensure successful execution.
Oversee the conceptualization, design, and development of mechanical systems and components, ensuring alignment with project requirements and specifications.
Use CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed designs, drawings, and models for mechanical components, assemblies, and structures.
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and design reviews to validate mechanical solutions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, shop technicians, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
Communicate technical requirements, timelines, and design considerations effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or 10 years of relevant industry experience.
At least 4 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specializing in machine / system design, development, and integration.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) with occasional use of simulation tools.
Strong problem-solving skills, capable of analyzing complex technical challenges and delivering effective solutions.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving project success.
Preferred Qualifications :
Advanced degree (Master’s in Engineering, MBA, or related field).
7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, focusing on machine / system design, development, and integration.
Experience working in a custom automation integrator or machine builder environment.
Background in mentoring or managing junior engineers to foster talent development.
