What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Recruiter position at Sterling Engineering?
Hire Type: Contract-to-hire
Requirements:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for manufacturing positions across various roles (machine operators, material handlers, techs, engineers, etc.)
- Partner with internal HR teams to source, interview, and hire qualified candidates
- Leverage job boards, internal systems, and other resources to attract top talent
- Conduct initial candidate screenings, including phone and onsite interviews
- Collaborate with hiring managers and HR partners to ensure alignment on candidate profiles and expectations
- Utilize the Workday ATS to manage the recruitment process and candidate data (familiarity with Workday is a plus, but not required)
- Keep track of candidate statuses and ensure a smooth transition throughout the hiring process
Qualifications:
- At least 2-3 years of recruiting experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with recruiting across a variety of positions, from entry-level roles to technical and engineering positions
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple roles simultaneously
- Must be willing to work onsite in Austin, TX, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
