Location: Lynchburg, VA 24502

Hire Type:12 month contract

Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO & Holiday Pay

Pay Range: $25-$28/hr (based on experience)

Job Summary: We are seeking a Test Lab Technician to join the Product Engineering department and support the testing of motors for current products in production. This role will execute test plans, provide test stand support, and keep stakeholders updated on testing progress. The primary focus is on torque testing for existing products, implementing new features, and assisting with motor calibration.

Job Duties:

• Set up and calibrate sensors and instrumentation to collect test data
• Support the development and execution of test plans
• Analyze and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
• Document test procedures, results, and related project materials
• Manage multiple testing initiatives and meet cost/time targets
• Maintain and support test stands and equipment

Required:

• Pursuing an A.S. degree in Engineering Technology (electronic or mechanical) or Physics
• Experience with load, torque, and temperature sensors and instrumentation
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience writing test procedures and reports
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must wear safety shoes and protective eyewear
  
  

Preferred:

• Familiarity with LabVIEW equipment and software
• Knowledge of AC and DC motor design and operation
• Hands-on experience with single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
• Understanding of gearing, bearings, and power transmission systems
