Job Summary and Duties:
· Facilitate the development of turnaround and capital work scopes throughout the refinery through data gathering by utilizing technical resources, inspections, engineering, reliability, OED, etc.
· Ensure most qualified and most cost-effective service providers (specialty contractors) are procured for execution of work assigned.
· Develop work breakdown structures to facilitate cost analysis, cost tracking and re-forecasting of turnaround and capital projects budget
· Analyze and supply logic to planned work steps for critical path analysis of projects to maximize schedule and minimize workforce/cost
· Assist in the development of yearly turnaround and capital construction spending budget
· Supervise/train/coach other planners/supervisor to ensure successful projects.
· Interface with purchasing department on procurement of goods and services to ensure quality contractors and timely delivery of materials needed
· Develop and assemble management documents for communication of safety, project status relative to cost, schedule compliance and workforce utilization

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, plus 2 years as a Planner or equivalent, or
- · Six (6) years of craft or industrial maintenance experience in refinery/petrochemical environment, in lieu of degree
- · Existing knowledge of, or capability to learn current planning software
- · Working knowledge of various craft disciplines and tools
- · Valid Driver's License · Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker's Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Preferred
- · Bachelor’s degree in construction management, plus 8 years as a Planner or equivalent, or
- · Ten (10) years of craft or industrial maintenance experience in refinery/petrochemical environment, in lieu of degree
