SALES MANAGER – MEETINGS DIVISION
STERLING EVENTS GROUP
Classification: Exempt
Reports to: President, Sterling Events Group
POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales Manager for Sterling Events Group Meetings Division is responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies for the Division, focusing on sales of full-service solutions for the planning, production, and on-site execution of meetings, conventions, tradeshows, and incentive programs. This position involves working closely with the division’s meeting planners to maximize revenue and ensure customer satisfaction to both new and long-standing clients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue and meet established goals
- Monitor progress of sales efforts and adjust strategies when necessary
- Monitor industry trends and changes and provide feedback to the leadership team.
- Maintain relationships with current and potential Division clients to help increase brand loyalty and new revenue streams
- Establish cross-selling opportunities with other divisions of Sterling Events Group
- Develop promotional materials, including both digital and physical collateral, in conjunction with the Marketing Coordinator
- Respond to new business inquiries and client feedback in a timely manner
- Track and analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field is strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality industry sales
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles and best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other Sterling operational software programs
